Our Research
Ge-BAC has surveyed a large number of companies and organizations in an effort to understand the current trend of declining awareness of Information Technology (IT) and e-Business Standards. The most common reasons given for this trend are the limited resources, cost of participation, ever growing number of new IT advances and the multiplicity of ongoing standardization efforts. Over the last few years, e-Business standardization efforts, based on new IT advances, have been taken up by many standards and standards related organizations, as well as by a growing number of consortiums and industry groups. Many companies and organizations are unable to fully commit the level of resources (financial and personnel), to adequately research and cover these activities and to ensure that they are fully conversant with those technologies and standardization efforts that are important to their work and how all these often diverse efforts interrelate. Most companies are also unable to keep abreast of the underlying technology and products supporting e-Business and the best practices for their utilization within an enterprise. A number of companies and organizations are turning to the Ge-BAC in order to better address information technologies and related standardization matters through a cost effective service that provides tailored advice on how the various IT and e-Business products and standards could potentially impact their current and future products and services.
