Ge-BAC Member creates new Discussion Standards Talk Forum

Saturday, July 03 2004 @ 10:12 AM GMT

Today's standards development environment is comprised of more standards organizations, consortiums, users and interest groups then anyone can keep track of. Most of these so-called "standards bodies" don't care that their area of standardization is creating duplication of specifications as they enter the domain of others. Implementers and users not only are facing the impossible task to pick the right standards, but more important have no channel to express their views and wishes in a forum to determine if there is a mutual ground of agreement amongst them.

This is what motivated Ge-BAC's founder, Klaus-Dieter Naujok to created the Standards Watch Forum part of his perosnal Web Site (Klaus' Korner). It will, from time to time, post topics he feels should be of interest to the standards development participants triggering discussions. However the hope is that you contribute your own topic and open up the discussions. To visit his Standards Watch Forum just click on this link.
